A Registered Charity run primarily by volunteers, CUFOS is a community centre that is used by local people and organisations for classes, meetings, parties and many other activities. Currently there are 30 groups who use the building regularly, including nursery and play groups; children’s classes in music, performance, maths and English; classes for adults in art, Spanish and calligraphy; wind, brass and jazz bands, plus drumming sessions; baby yoga and massage classes; a seniors yoga group; sound therapy sessions; a health maintenance group; an Indian cultural group; Alcoholics Anonymous; the Haringey-Livry Friendship Association; the Multiple Sclerosis Society; and the Women’s Institute.
CUFOS is open seven days a week and is wheelchair-accessible. The building is used by regular groups during the week and sometimes at weekends. It is available for hire at weekends for private events such as children’s birthday parties, adult or family parties, christenings, wedding and fund-raising events. For information on how to make a booking, go to the Bookings page.
Please note: CUFOS is run almost entirely by volunteers. There is no office located at the building; those who look after it do so out of their homes. Telephone and email messages are dealt with as soon as possible, but please do not expect a 24-hour service.
