Classes and Workshops for Adults

First Class Learning

First Class learning maths and English courses are designed to support children and adults in the local community. Tuition programmes are personalised, flexible, and designed to meet the learning outcomes of the National Curriculum.

Each child’s learning needs are taken into account when developing an FCL study programme. Our structured programmes recognise your child’s progress, and we provide regular homework which helps to strengthen memory and recall skills, builds confidence, and improves school performance.

When: Wednesdays, 3.30–5.30 pm

North London Lettering Association

The NLLA was formed in Spring 2001 out of a desire to offer those interested in and practising the craft of calligraphy and lettering an opportunity to enjoy regular monthly meetings, lectures, workshops and exhibitions. Our meetings include talks, often illustrated, given by prominent professional calligraphers and letterers, covering a variety of crafts such as bookbinding, glass engraving and stone carving. We organise workshops at intervals, arrange visits to exhibitions of interest, and provide our members with information regarding suitable events around the country. Members’ work is shown in exhibitions at local venues from time to time.

When: Third Tuesday of every month (except August and December), 7.30–9.30 pm
