What is CUFOS?

A Registered Charity run by volunteers, CUFOS is a Community Centre in the former Alexandra Palace Railway Station. It is used by local people and organisations for classes, meetings and many other leisure activities.

For more information about CUFOS, see the About page. For a map and directions, go to Find Us.

Who uses CUFOS?

The building is hired for a multitude of purposes, with activities ranging from children’s playgroups to classes for adults to musical groups. There are regular hirers who use either of our two rooms – the Booking Hall or the Waiting Room (see the Facilities page) – on a daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis, and there are those who hire the building for one-off meetings, workshops, or special events such as parties, christenings, and fund-raising socials. For information on the various groups who use CUFOS, see our Activities page.

Availability?

CUFOS is available for hire seven days a week throughout the year, but please note we hire out the building for parties only at weekends. To see if it is available on the date and time you want, check our Calendar. For  information on how to hire CUFOS for your group, class, meeting, or special event, go to Bookings.

Volunteering

CUFOS is run almost entirely by volunteers - and we can always use more! Please see our Volunteering page for more information.
